Peer grouping for Benchmarking (Comparison among similars)

For each type of equipment, affinity (peer) groups have been formed in which similar equipment is grouped together for the purpose of comparison. For example, the kilns which are similar to each other in technology, capacity and other technical parameters are grouped together. For reporting the energy consumption, the comparison is made within the members of a particular peer group. This comparison is more meaningful and directly points out scope of optimization of operational parameters. A list of peer groups that have been made is given on next page.
